Yesker 12.5ft Telescoping Ladder Feedback:

We will now give you our opinion based on the feedback that the telescoping ladder has received to date, all of which can be checked out by yourself over on Amazon.com. Firstly though, we will cover some of the five-star reviews that are available.

One reviewer has commented on how the telescoping ladder seems to weigh on half the weight of some telescoping ladders and liked how easy it was to use. They have some areas within their property that are not easy to get to, being approximately 10 FT high, and they are using this ladder to gain access to them.

They also found the mechanism of the ladder does what it says it does, contrary to apparent negative comments about people trapping their fingers when collapsing it. They go on to give some good instructions on how it works, how to avoid issues with fingers and make comments about the instructions covering this whole procedure in depth.

Another wanted this ladder because they liked how small it became when folded, as they have an RV and need a ladder that was easy to store in it. They also wanted a sturdy, compact ladder that was easy to use and this fitted the bill. They also make comments about some people mentioning catching their fingers and struggling with the mechanism, stating that the instructions are clear enough and they found no such issues. They go on to also give a direction on how to open and close the ladder, saying it is a simple operation to carry out.

A reviewer also wanted a ladder that was good for storage after collapsing it. They stated it was an amazing product and found it to not only be lightweight, but sturdy when in use. They did mention that they were not keen to use it at its full length unless they had another person present to hold it.

A person stated that although they had an older and bulkier ladder, they needed something that was lightweight and easy to maneuver, this ladder was the one they chose as it was perfect for their needs. They liked the fact it collapsed into a very small unit for easy carrying. The instructions do say not to lean this into an incline of more than 75 degrees, as it may wobble and this was apparent to this owner. They were worried about catching their fingers when retracting it, but state that it will retract one rung at a time and they liked this feature, as well as the fact it was compact and small to store after use.

Another wanted a compact and sturdy ladder to carry in their RV, as they are keen campers. It also had to have a somewhat heavy load carry and this ladder is the one they chose and were glad they did.

A purchaser who supplied a review wanted a compact ladder they could use for roofing work. They did some comprehensive research into which one suited them best, taking into account many other reviews they read. It had to have a good working weight carry, be easy to use, have some good safety features and storage was high on their list.

This is the one they chose, as it fitted all their requirements, the price was right and once you used the carrying straps it made it easy to carry around. They are very pleased with their purchase, further stating that should you be looking for a compact, strong, and a safe ladder that they believe will fit in almost any vehicle, they do recommend and without hesitation, the Yesker 12.5ft Telescoping Ladder.

Any bad comments?

It is also important to cover any of the one-star ratings, so you get a full and honest opinion on this ladder:

One person that purchased the ladder has stated that the first time they used their ladder, the rung broke as the rings that held it seemed to be cracked. They mention it happened after taking it out of the box.

Another person also stated that their telescoping ladder had an issue, in that when they climbed the ladder three of the top plastic rungs apparently snapped off. Their belief is that when it was at an incline, this occurred. There is no mention at what degree the incline was, as mentioned before it should not really be placed at an incline of more than 75 degrees.

A buyer who mentions that they have had the ladder for a few years but have not used it much found that when they did, the bottom rung had dropped down about 5 inches on one side of the ladder.

There are some very good reviews and some with mixed comments. The ladder is actually light in weight, made from corrosion-resistant quality aluminum alloy, and making the ladder only weighs 26 pounds whilst stating that it can handle a maximum of 300 pounds.

It also has some great safety features such as the non-slip end caps that are situated on the bottom to hold it firmly in place, mainly to assist in avoiding the ladder from tipping over whilst in use. The Yesker 12.5ft Telescoping Ladder also has a strengthening footboard on the rungs to help with supporting heavy weight loads.

There has been mention of trapping fingers when retracting the ladder, with an independent locking feature fitted as standard to the bottom of rungs 2 up to 11, with each section (Rung) being able to be locked as it comes down or goes up.

It should be stated though, as many have in the 5-star reviews, that the instructions tell you exactly how to use this system and many have had no issues once reading how to use the ladder.

Yesker 12.5ft Telescoping Ladder Feature Ratings:

Most people rated the sturdiness of this ladder highly, with a 4.3 out of 5, it has caps on the feet for stability and many reviewers have also commented on how sturdy it is. Holds a maximum of 300 pounds, but remember not to surpass an incline of more than 75 degrees when using it.

Stability – 4.3 out of 5

This ladder will probably be for someone who needs a multipurpose and lightweight ladder, that is compact enough to carry around with them.
